I strive to capture the beauty of nature in both landscapes and still life.

I have been painting and drawing since I was a teenager. Both of my parents were artists and encouraged and inspired me. I studied graphic design along with painting and ceramics in college. While my passion was fine art, I found a niche for my artistic skills in the computer software user interface design field for several decades. I have always been drawn to representational art. Now that I am retired, I have been focused on strengthening my artistic ability in painting. I enjoy working in watercolor and pastel, but I have recently discovered painting in oil, and it is now my favorite medium.
