Holiday Music for Guitar &Mandolin
Enchanting instrumental renditions of traditional and contemporary holiday
music.
A variety of lively tunes and lyrical melodies with an international flavor.
Audiences respond enthusiastically to the charming sound of the guitar &
mandolin as Judy & Mark play their own arrangements of beautiful, uplifting
holiday music from many cultures.
Judy & Mark offer interesting commentary about the origins of holiday music from
the U.S., England, Ireland, Wales, Puerto Rico, Spain, Ukraine, songs of
Hanukkah and themes from the Nutcracker.
Some singalongs will be included on the program.
Husband-and-wife duo and Vernon residents, Judy Handler & Mark Levesque,
have captivated audiences across the United States and Europe with over 2,500
performances spanning 32 years. They create inspiring programs of music for
guitar & mandolin as well as two guitars. Their friendly & entertaining way of
chatting with audiences immediately makes a personal and authentic
connection. With impeccable musicianship and an engaging stage presence,
they have earned a devoted following.

Poetry Rocks! is a quarterly poetry reading series organized by ACE Staff and Vernon Poet Laureate, Pegi Deitz Shea. It is co-sponsored by Arts Center East, The Rockville Public Library, and The CT Council of Poets Laureate. In 2017, the then ACE Director, Joan Sonnanburg, approached Pegi about beginning a poetry reading series that would feature Rockville High School’s award-winning poets, early-career poets, and established Connecticut poets. Upcoming readings will be held in the afternoon on Sunday, September 27, 2026, and December 6, 2026, at Arts Center East.
On September 27, Faith Vicinanza of Southbury, Rick Magee of Bethel, and Elaine Nadal of Milford will share their wide variety of poetry, along with Rockville High School’s Mia Resto, Sunday, Sept. 27, 3:00-5:00pm.
