I have created art for as long as I can remember, growing up with a cartoonist father, going to college for art education, and then teaching visual art for the past 15 years.

My latest series of a dozen botanical illustrations came about from my desire to paint images that embody the beauty and specific meaning behind the birth flowers and birthstones of each month. My Signature Floral series celebrates anniversaries and the special individuals born in each month and what plants/ minerals symbolize them and their beautiful, unique qualities.
