ARTIST MEMBER

I create highly detailed, lifelike pet portraits that seek to capture the

individual spirit and quiet presence of each animal. Working in colored pencil and mixed media, I focus on subtle expression, form, and texture-building each piece through careful layering to achieve both realism and depth.

My work is rooted in a lifelong commitment to drawing, guided by patience, precision, and close observation. I am especially drawn to the small, often overlooked details that reveal personality and bring a subject to life.

My background in occupational therapy, including 35 years working with children in art therapy, continues to inform my approach. It has shaped my understanding of art as a means of connection-something that can communicate emotion, preserve memory, and oƯer comfort.

Whether created for exhibition or as a commissioned portrait, my intention is to produce work that feels both personal and enduring- an honest reflection of the bond between people and their animals.
