After 34 years teaching elementary school, I retired and now have more time for my art—blessed to leave one passion and embrace another. Energized and inspired by nature, I see art quilt possibilities everywhere. I have long enjoyed painting, drawing, and sewing, and I have quilted for over 20 years, usually improvising rather than following patterns. Since retiring, I have learned new techniques that have pushed me deeper into the world of fiber art. I now experiment with mixed media, sculpture, and surface design while developing a clear personal style. I especially enjoy drawing and painting on fabric, then embellishing with thread and quilting. Art is therapeutic for me, bringing peace, joy, and a strong sense of accomplishment, and I am excited to share my work with others.
